Everyone is different, you may just be finding that the euphoria about not smoking in the 1st couple of weeks is wearing off.

It will pass as you get more used to being a non smoker, but in the meantime stay strong and you will get through it.

All the best

Nic

As Nic says, everyone is different and so every quit is different. I found week 3 the easiest of the first 3 weeks, but I have now seen several people on here who find it very difficult.

The good thing about having a tough week 3 is that by now you know you can do it, you know that nothing is made better by smoking.

Armed with that knowledge, you can get through the tough times and the easier ones will come.

And of course, you deserve huge congratulations for getting to week 3. You do know that most people attempting a quit have given in by now? You are doing very well and should be proud of yourself. Keep going!

Good news all round, well done! The cough and achy lungs I think is normal.. I gave a smoker a lift this morning (she didn't smoke in the car) and I have been coughing ever since.

Sorry, Hope - kind of hijacked this thread... :o

Hope and Helen

getting to week three is great.

It will be easier again next week, and at some time in the future you will have another hard day or so.

It doesn't matter and it WILL NOT!!! go on forever.

You now know that you don't need to smoke and smoking won't make you feel better, in fact it would be worse to smoke now because you will then have a sense of failure because you have smoked.

get through the next couple of days and you will be fine again.
