Oh, dear I'm sorry you had a wee blip - but don't feel too bad and don't dwell on it or beat yourself up over it.
Hopefully, you can learn something from this - no matter how bad things are, a cigarette will NEVER made the situation better - in fact it just makes things worse.

Chin up, and carry on
thank you.. that's made me feel better. This is the first time i have not had a ciggie for so long.. so i am still very proud of myself..
The last time i gave up (nearly 10 years ago), I gave in after 3 weeks and had one fag, It tasted awful, and I didn't even consider smoking again for 4 years (the reason I did was to spite my ex wife, but that's a different story). Anyway, what I'm trying to say, is don't beat yourself up about it. It happens, and I seriously think that for some people, that one little 'cave' can actually help!
Keep going, you've done great so far and people are always here to help! I'm in my 3rd week too, so if you ever want support from someone in the 'same place', I'm here if you want me.
this really is the best place to be for help! Thanks guys.. feeling a lot better about myself now. All i kept telling myself was im human, it happens.. and don't think of this as a failure as you didn't have a full ciggie and you are still continuing.. so .. on with the show..

It was a blip, nothing more. It has probably helped to secure your quit. Dont let it get to you, at least you didnt smoke a full pack, or continue to do it for a few days - thats a set back, a few drags is not (although it is naughty :D)
lol i just realised why i did it. Im on the patches and chemist gave me the wrong patches. I was supposed to go on to the last lot of patches(lowest strength) in a weeks time, so was mentally preparing myself for the change but they gave them to me by mistake already, no wonder i was suffering
that woman is sooooooooooooo ditsy.. i have been going to get my patches for 4 weeks now.. and have been on the same strength the whole time.. yet EVERY WEEK she needs assistance to give me the right patch.. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i will give her slap.. p*d me off .. was doing so well.
If you see me on the front page of the papers tomorrow you know why!

Sorry to hear of your blip, and that is all it was !!!! a blip. Get on with your quit, you said yourself that you disliked the taste and that you dont want to smoke. Keep that mind set and just take it one day at a time.
Oh yer, give me the address of the chemist and i will fly over and drop something unpleasant on them
Mark
is this what happens when people give up? they turn crazily funny? lol if that is true.. bring it on.. hopefully im on my way to being like you skygod!
as for the chemist.. its the boots in Woodley(apparently according to my boss.. its a place where people go to die.. lol) and there i am doing the opposite

they have now taken me back to the very beginning on step 1..
