Covid-19 grants terminated

We are all indebted to researchers who found that transplant recipients generally do not have robust responses to Covid vaccines. In my own case, due to my immunosuppression I generated no antibodies and, of course, I don't have a fully functioning immune system should I become infected. Researchers who are trying to discover ways to help protect transplant recipients just were told that their grants are terminated because "the pandemic is over."

It's certainly not over for me.

Same difficulty for those with cancers, with autoimmune diseases, or other disorders that need immunosuppressive medications to live.

Moreover, up to 20% of COVID infections turned accurate infection into long-COVID Syndrome that continues with unexplained brain fog, chronic pain, and other organ susceptibility. The cut in "COVID" funding is going to halt all ongoing and future research needed to improve lives for all of us.

just curious, where did you get this information? Was it from the CDC or the NIH (national Institute of health). I would recommend that each one of us contact our representative to Congress to express concern.

Actually it's been all over the news over the last few weeks-month since the PORUS announced it and defunded everything. It is a scary thing. Stay safe everyone and I do advise every one of us to contact our US Senators and Congressman to do something.

Thanks for the info. When we accept incompetence and immorality from our leadership, history tells us it will not end well. Innocent lives will be lost while others stand by in denial, fearing to say no. Past generations have said no and given us a better world that we have trashed environmentally and socially in the name of profit.

Such a lie! The COVID is not over. Even when Biden declared it over it wasn't over. I know a few people who just became ill with it even with the vaccine now. Such propaganda out there and it affects all of us.

I’m not defending anyone, but the same can be said about flu. The 1918 flu pandemic. It’s still with us.
