Shampoo recommendation

Hello!

On 16 May 2024, I had a kidney transplant.

Please recommend me a shampoo that I can use after I had a kidney transplant and steroids are administered to me, my hair is falling out.

I am interested in receiving information and socializing with people who have had a kidney transplant.

Hi,

I had hair loss while on dialysis and after transplant. It will calm down and become less severe. I have tried lots of shampoos and treatments and I would say don’t waste your money. Zinc is very good , maybe ask your nephrologist about taking it as a supplement. Maybe not yet but in a few months. I’m also menopausal so I’ve given up 😂 I use hair extensions and hair toppers now. No one tells you about all the different side effects of the meds.

I'm three years post transplant and have experienced hair loss from the medication. My transplant center told me I could take zinc and biotin. I also used a biotin shampoo. The lost hair did not grow back, but it seemed to slow down the hair loss.
