I’m nearly a year post transplant and still go through phases where my belly is swollen Infact my body is general seems swollen

Any else experience this

Definitely sounds like a conversation to have with your transplant doctor as it’s most likely drug related.

I was on steroids for the first year and was very much changed in appearance & gained weight. After they were stopped things settled down.

Immunosuppressants can cause weight gain & numerous side effects but finding the right levels for you can & will take time based on your blood results over a number of years. My levels were being adjusted for years afterwards.

You really need to have this conversation with your nephrologist/transplant doc. Chances are good that it is all related to your transplant meds. Are you on prednisone? That is a likely culprit. Some of the immunosuppressants can cause gas and bloating. Need to tell transplant doctors' your symptoms. Sometimes reducing the dose of your meds helps. Only your doctor can help you with these issues.

I am 23+ years post-transplant and no longer have to take steroids (prednisone) and am taking Myfortic and Neoral.
