Please remember we are not doctor's. If you need a second opinion , try another medical professional. My drug listing does not match yours but I am not you. Take care and I hope you find the answer you are looking for.

Yeah, your going to have to ask your doctors about your medication. I have not even heard of most of the stuff you are taking. I am taking all the anti- rejection drugs you are, plus Cellcept.

Do you see a regular nephrologist for hypertension, Randy? It seems that while you are being well taken of (cholesterol, ani-rejection, ulcer, anxiety, high hypertension, calcium reducer, antacid) you are given very many medications for blood pressure. It could be because you have a difficult to regulate BP, or because they haven't re-examined the dose and combination recently. A visit with a general nephrologist with hypertension training to assess if the treatment for BP has been ultimized may be helpful to reduce meds. But, if your BP reading is consistently good now, it isn't necessary. I think you are being take good care of. Happy holidays to you and your loved ones!

Lisa I only see one nephrologist for 11 years. He seems very good at what he does. I will ask him about my med list thank you again.

We are all different and so is the list of meds we take. If you have questions about yours, you should be discussing with your nephrologist. All the meds we take can affect our transplant that is why you need to talk with the kidney doc. We all speak from our own experiences and cannot answer med questions.

I take Neoral and Myfortic - immunosuppressants

BP - Cardura and Metoprolol

Cholesterol - Atorvastatin

Gerd - Omeprazole

Edema - Lasix

Nerve pain - Gabapentin

Sleep - PRN Ambien

Ask your doc what each of your meds is for and if necessary.
