Prednisone morning or evening?

hello,

does anyone take their prednisone in the evening/night? Online it says best to take it during the morning and my doctor says just within 24hrs.

What’s your intake/routine on prednisone?

Thank you.

Thanks, yep i am very lucky. But i do mention it to give others hope.

I’m sure you’ll work out how and when to take your pred on your trip.

I’ve done loads of long trips and just work it out at the time.

Enjoy Korea!

Christopher, so thankful that your kidney lasts 40 years, God is so good! May I ask your opinion, I heard that a person had a mental history should not have a transplant if she or he had to take prednison?

maybe as your nephrologist how you should do your medication? That way the timing isn’t messed up for when you come back.

Don't stress too much about the 12 Hr difference. You will just take it when you arrive in the morning local time.

You raised a good question about medication during traveling as I have never thought about it. I, too, will be traveling overseas (Hong Kong) next Wednesday. Because of your question, I now need to find out how I should take my meds as well since my morning and afternoon prograf dosages are different. Thanks again and have a safe trip!

I take my tacrolimus & myfortic pills before I eat anything (730am). Then whenever I eat (10-11) I take my prednisone. Then I take the tac & myfortic 2 hrs or more after dinner. I finish dinner by 530.

Keep in mind if you take Myfortic, they say you should always either (a) always eat or (b) never eat with it.

thats very similar to what I do!! Taking tacrolimus without food and waiting 3hours after dinner to take it the second time. Taking prednisone with lunch etc.. Where is your transplant center located at? San Diego does that with their patients. I don’t take myfortic anymore!
