6 dagen vergeten prednison!

Hallo allemaal,

Why do you stop taking your medication for a week? You should never skip even a single dose. You could lose your transplant!!

Hi

As i wrote before: i accidentally dit this when turning off the weekly medication!!!

I take my meds at 8:00 and then sleep some more.

Please don't judge right away!

My native language is dutch and my English is not very good.

Sincerly,

Maybe it was in translation - you said you didn't take for a week. Was it just the prednisone? When did you have your transplant?I would make sure to let your transplant center know what happened. Maybe they can run some labs and make sure all is OK.

I was able to stop my prednisone after 5 years post transplant. Hopefully you will be OK.

I am 22+ years post transplant now.

I had to have a blood test today that was already fixed.I have an appointment with my nephrogist next week.

That appointment was already set.

When i found out i started taking the prednison!

I had my transplant in January 2020.

I have now taken 3 x prednisone again and luckily i feel a lot better.

I asked this question because i thought maybe someone else had experienced it top

I'm just a woman who makes mistakes once in a while.

And searched for a similar experienced.

I wish you the best. 🍀

Don't worry....a lot of us have not taken prednisone on occasion. As Darlenia said - we all make mistakes. Due to English translation, wasn't sure if it was just the Prednisone, or your other immunosuppressants. Hopefully all is well. Let us know how your labs turn out.As I said previously, many of us have been taken off Prednisone with no problems with our labs.

Prayers coming your way!!

Hi. I think you'll be okay, people do occasionally go off this particular med for one reason or another under a doctor's supervision - yours was a mistake. But you're bringing it up with your doctors and that should be enough. Sending positive thoughts that everything turns out well for you.
