2 1/2 years out, and my baseline is 2.0 to 2.5. Anyone else here have a similar base?

I'll be two years post on the 13th, and my creatinine mostly runs around 2.25. It's been as low as 1.6 and as high as 2.7, depending on where my tacrolimus level is -- and how much water I drank the day before. I go in tomorrow morning for labs so I'll see where the creatinine lands and what my tacrolimus level is, as it bounces all over the map as well.

I am 2+ years out and mine ran 1.5-1.7. My doctor told me to drink water until it was running out my ears (not really) but I increased my intake and mine now is running .08 to 1.1. I don't know if this will help you but it's worth a shot. Good luck.

Totally agree. But how do you do it without running to bathroom constantly?

19 years on my second kidney transplant and my level is 2.3-2.5, as my docs say “it’s just where your kidney lives” I wish it was lower but I don’t worry too much about it. Good luck and God bless.

My son's baseline is 1.9 - 2.3 almost three years out. Usually lands around 2.0 depending on water intake and Tac Level. His donor was a small woman so mismatched in size and the doctor told him it would be a higher baseline but no worries. Best of health to you!

I think the responses you received shows that we are all different and so are our transplants. Was your kidney from a deceased or living donor? I once thought that a living donor kidney had better creatinine than the deceased donor kidney. Now....I don't think that is true at all. Next week I will celebrate my 22nd Kidney Transplant Anniversary. Successful transplant from a deceased donor with a creatinine of 0.9-1.0

I think some just have a higher baseline. If your other labs are OK, I wouldn't worry, and your nephrologist is comfortable.

Stop worrying and enjoy Life!

Your comment helped me also. Thanks.

My son received my kidney 7 years ago and his level has been mostly 1.9 to 2.2 ever since. He is doing well and his nephrologist is not concerned since everything else looks good.
