Possible rejection

Just started a Prednisone recycle and a Myfortic increase to treat a possible rejection episode. If my labs aren't better on Monday I'll have to go for a kidney biopsy. Wish me luck.

I’m sorry to hear of the possibility of a biopsy. Sending positive vibes your way 😊. Although nobody likes to go through a biopsy, remember it’s a tool to keep your transplant healthy.

Keep us up to date…

My transplant is 2yrs. old yesterday. In the first year I had to have a biopsy because my creation was up to 2. It seemed to wakeup my kidney because my creation is at 1 and holding steady. Best of luck to you.

I have not had one post transplant, ( had 3 in the years before) though my doctor said it was not uncommon to have 3 in the first year after the transplant.

Dear Kim,

you have been 'In The Wars' haven't you babe. I remember 'Talking' to you before, about some 'wayward' results.

With luck, and you are certainly Due some, The Hospital Team will be able to Stabilise 'things', though you may (actually probably) need to spend Some Time IN Hospital. Still if that's what it 'Takes'..... Sending you my, indeed ALL our

Very Best Wishes, Get Well Soon

Hey there! Either way I believe you will be fine, because your team sounds competent and know what they are doing. Do not stress about it in the meantime, continue to gently exercise and drink 2 lit of water a day. We will all be sending you good thoughts!

I have found in 2021 the rejection experience is far different than what it used to be because of all the new meds and tests they have today. Rejection is a horrible word and I think it's best for your health and mentally to stay in today write a gratitude list I know that sounds absolutely crazy but you need to change your thinking and fear never helps us although I know fear is an automatic response don't future trip and assume this is the end. You will deal with that IF it happens. Today is the day to only do your part journal get a book called the Power of Positive Thinking.

I am thinking of you and sending positive energy to you and your medical team that your kidney will be alright. you are in good hands. I realize this is very unsettling. My spouse had his first low-grade rejection 3 months post transplant and the biopsy was done then he was in hospital 5.5 days on IV of steroids and it worked in his favor. Keep positive. We are cheering you on.

Numbers were a little better, the transplant team wants new labs in a week, if numbers are still high I'll need a biopsy

Sending positive vibes! I remember always having my meds changed after each blood draw. I was on prednisone for a brief time. Stay positive! Your team knows what to do. Eat healthy and drink water!
