Hi Randy it sounds like you are facing a lot! I have been on prednisone for 43 years. And 2 kidney txs I will have 20 years in nov this year. My last kidney lasted 23 years. Now I've been around a long time with this transplant and ots side effects from the meds. I deal with skin cancer and get them regularly checked. Your side effects from all your meds is hard I know but you cannot concentrate on your problems. I had to find people to talk to social workers, therapists, psychiatrists and "groups" I am saying there is a lot of help for you! Your transplant team probably has a support group too. Listen you are not alone and you can get through this! I suggest writing all of this down letting go of the power it has over you and allowing ot to control you. Fear makes people feel helpless like yourself. Do you have faith or a Higher Power? Something this is all light and love? There is help and hope for you for everyone if you seek it like you are doing this is not some crazy little feeling you have..you have outed yourself of fear. Call your transplant center they all have social workers and can help you find one. I'm sorry for your pain but it doesn't have to be like this. Life really doesn't have to be as difficult as we can manifest it to be..the meds are tricky and have many side effects...learn about them. Educate yourself and get your mind out of your own hopelessness because honey there is hope.

Thanks for your caring spirit to Randy1805 and others who are struggling. Our transplant clinic did not have a support group, so I searched for one in VT and also where I live in NY and none to be found until I found this site. Thanks for your words of extensive years of knowledge due to your two transplants and more.
