I have found a donor by the grace of God. I am so thankful!! He will be coming from another state to come donate his kidney to me. There will be some expenses that he will have to pay for. We have set up a fundraiser website.

Fundraiser to cover transplant costs
Hi Tony. Best of luck with the fundraiser for your donor's non-covered expenses. Prior to my friend donating to my son, we held a local fundraiser. We put together a fundraising committee to organize the event as it is a big job. A local bar/grill (this was pre-pandemic) provided the facility but they charged for the bar and appetizers & made money, gathered donated items from stores for a fun auction at the event & no one turned us down (from free haircuts to signed sports paraphernalia to musical instruments to dinner & drinks), we had the best jam/dance with many local bands and musicians playing for free & a few auctioned off gigs, and we held a few door raffles. It was fun and paid for the non-covered expenses for the donor. Again, Best of Health to you and Best of Luck.
I made a small contribution. If you haven't already, talk with your transplant center's social worker who may know about other sources of financial support. You might also try the American Kidney Fund. Best of luck with your transplant.
