Hi everyone, hope you had a great Christmas and new year!
I recently had my clinic appointment, and my creatinine went from 109 up to 125, and I got very worried about this, because last time it was that high, they completely changed my medication and re done the test a couple days later, I phoned to ask them about this and the nurse said she’d talk to the surgeons and get them to check my results and phone me back, I’m not really sure what to do as that was 5 days ago.
I knew after I got the test done (8:30am) that it might change a little because I had very little fluid before going there, but I’m just very unsure and wondered if anyone could help me with some advice?

I always live by if they are worried they will contact me, you have to reassure yourself that the hospital and your renal team are acting in your best interest, which they are. My creatinine is always bouncing around the 110-135 region and has been since my transplant 4 years ago. If you continue to be concerned or notice any symptoms give them a call.
Hi there, I agree with Kidney 2017. They usually call if they are concerned. However, as they are so busy at the moment in hospitals and as it has been 5 days, I would definately call them back.
My creatinine is 158 at the moment and they are happy as it is steady. I believe it depends on what it is normally.
First of all Happy New Year 2021, a year in which- I hope (and pray)- we can All find a sense of 'Normality' again.
As regards your Creatinine levels... I wouldn't 'worry' to much, just contact your Team- if you are really concerned. Else, rest assured, that if 'They' had any Real Concerns you would have been in Hospital By NOW!
In any case a 'One Off' result, of 124, is pretty Meaningless. A Large Meal, when Out, maybe including A LOT of dairy produce, coupled with you being a 'tad' constipated- a few days- could easily give this result (probably a Lot higher).
Do 'up' your Fluids, a bit, by all means....Else, as I said before, I wouldn't 'Worry Too Much'.
