Had kidney transplant a month ago. I have itching on my chest and legs. No rash. Does not go away. Does anyone else have this issue.

I did . On my back it drive me mad fir about 2 months. I used ice packs to try to stop the itch scratch cycle that made it worse. It eventually stopped . When I asked my team about it they offered me antihistamines but this didn’t help me. My theory is that skin seems to thin - for some of us - and during that phase it’s unpleasant.

Best of luck

Always tell your transplant team about any problems or issues that you are having. It could be a reaction to your transplant meds or even an allergy to them or just takes time for your body to adjust. Call your transplant coordinator and let the team know what is going on.

Thank you. We’ve done that they were not too concerned at this point.

You need to be persistent with this. If it hasn't gotten better you need to keep bugging them about it. I always tell patients to be their own advocate. That's what I have learned through this whole kidney journey. I just had my 21st transplant anniversary.

Take care

You may want to check out your blood sugar levels. That happened to me after transplant and I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic. 2 years later I am about 25 lbs heavier and diabetic.
