My husband and I have just gotten back from a fantastic trip to Colorado and Rocky Mountain National Park! We stayed in Estes Park and spent 2 days touring & some hiking in the park. At over 12,000 ft at the top of the pass....what a view!!!
Please know that LIFE is not over with CKD.........for me it was only the beginning! My husband and I have traveled to Mexican resorts, the Caribbean and to Europe. I have seen both my daughters marry and now have 2 buddies ( my grandsons).
DO NOT GIVE UP......LIFE IS WORTH EVERYTHING!!!! Oct 15th is my 19th Transplant Anniversary! YES!!!!!

LOVE THIS! Thanks for sharing! Sounds like an amazing trip and also such a great message that life is not over with a kidney failure diagnosis. Thank you again for the uplifting message!
Thanks Kelli! The NKF is also writing an article about me and not only about my life after transplant, but everything I did to find a living donor. Should be soon, since I was interviewed a couple weeks ago and I sent pictures last week. Really exciting....anyway I can help out others with our "game of LIFE." Giving back is so rewarding!!
Wow, 19 years! That is awesome. You are so right, life is worth everything. Thanks for sharing the picture and your enthusiasm for life. Can’t wait to read the article about you.
That’s great, Anne. My husband and I just celebrated our 50th wedding Anniversary on Friday. Before I had my transplant 24 years ago, I never thought I would live that long and enjoy so much. Happy Anniversary.
Congrats on your 50th Wedding anniversary! My husband and I celebrated 46 years this last August. 24 Years and living well with your new kidney is definitely something to celebrate. Thanks for sharing!
I'm just starting the transplant journey, just referred by neph, but right now my biggest issue is the fatigue, low appetite, and nausea putting a cramp in my lifestyle. I used to do ultramarathons but now just walking 30 min is all I can do.
