I’m just going through transplant eligibility testing right now—I’m hoping to hear I qualify.

However, they had me meet with a dietician during my second visit at the transplant center. So does your transplant center have a dietician? If so, I’d think you should visit with that person for some individualized help.

My doctor recommended the DASH Diet, low sodium, heart healthy diet.

I am on no special diet post transplant, but still have to watch my salt intake and try to make sure I eat heart healthy. What I am doing seems to be working since I am 20 years post transplant and living very well. My creatinine is holding at a steady 0.9 - 1.0.
