Congratulations I am 33 years out with same kidney from my brother. I have been on Sandimmune and prednisone the whole time. What immunosuppressives are you on? What caused your renal failure? Mine was FSGS. Are you a member of the quarter century club? I have a friend who will be out 50 years on August of 2021. It is great to tell people about longevity it gives them hope.
Hi kbress ,thankyou for your message, I am on 100mg of azathioprine daily, and have been since my transplant it was nephritis that caused it .I am not a member of the quarter century club but will look into it.

Congratulations!! Thank you so much for sharing. I am almost 2 years post transplant (kidney donation from husband) and I love hearing about others’ transplant journeys. Very inspirational.
Hi Herkidney! Congratulations on almost 2 years! I am a little over 3 years and my husband was my donor, too! I enjoy hearing about others with donated husband - kidneys! When I tell people they always seem shocked. Nice to hear there are other spouse kidney donations out there.
Thank you Jenny0604. When I met him at age 21 I had no idea he would give me a such an incredible gift 28 years later. It’s lovely to hear the spouse donation stories 😀
That's amazing. I had no idea that it could last that long. Praying you have many more healthy, fulfilling, prosperous years. I wonder what the record is for longest lasting kidney in a transplant.
That is Awesome, 46 years. My Uncle is 47 years with his transplant and still going strong he only takes prednisone once a day and Norvasc. I’m 3 years in with my kidney & I’m gonna be just like my Uncle, again congratulations Owlbox you are an inspiration to other kidney transplant recipients like myself.
