High blood pressure
You should talk to your nephrologist. For me, they changed by bp meds and it got back on track
Sorry to tell you but it is pretty common. I know after transplant I didn't need to take any BP meds. After a few years later I needed to be on something again. My transplant team explained it was from the immunosuppressants. I am 20 years since my transplant and now take 2 meds for high BP. It is under control and has not effected my creatinine or eGFR. My creatinine continues to be 0.9.
Make sure you start on some blood pressure meds so as not to effect your new kidney.
Hi
I was on so many BP meds before my transplant and since my transplant I take coreg 12.5 mg twice a day. I went from 3.75 creatinine to .69 and my GFR was 12 and now 89. Is anything causing you stress? Diet? that your BP would change? Ask your transplant team questions and what the recourse is, etc. Hang in there and stay positive! We are all here to help!
