I lost my kidney after 20 yeats post op (1978-2000). Science was nowhere what it is now. You and I are very blessed to get a transplant now! The immunosuppression are much better. I am almost 18 years post op now. Diets have changed and people like us are living longer! Nothing is the same since the late 70s. Live your life to the fullest and welcome to yoir new life!

I've been blessed with my kidney transplant for almost 18 years. Unfortunately, I was recently told it's decreased function. I'm scared to go back on PD dialysis, but I know I have to. The reality will hit me that very day. How did you transition back to dialysis?
