Hi & Merry Christmas! On this day, I remember a good friend of mine that was going to be my living donor. But then I got the call from the transplant center.....and here I am 19+ years later. She gave me THE ATTITUDE POEM. I know I shared this once before but thought it was the right time to share again. Hope it helps you, as it has me.

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude to me is more important than facts.

It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people say, or think, or do.

It is more important than giftedness or skill.

It will make or break a company, a church, a home.

The remarkable thing is, we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.

I am convinced that life is ten percent what happens to me and ninety percent how I react to it. Charles Swindoll

Thank you for sharing this WYOAnne. Our attitude affects every part of our lives. I have had lots of life's curve balls thrown at me, and I have found that I am able to handle them much better with a positive attitude, looking for things to be grateful for and finding joy regardless of my circumstances.

Amen. Even after 19 years since my transplant my body still throws me "curve balls." Attitude keeps me going.

Thank you for sharing such a positive poem and post. It has been less than 7 weeks since my adult son had his kidney transplant donated to him by my dearest friend. Both my son and my friend embody the poem. Here's to a healthy and happy 2019 for us all.

Thank you so much! That poem means everything to me and I try to live by it everyday. Maybe, it has helped and by the grace of God, part of the reason I am living well after 19+ years post transplant.

Happy Healthy New Year to you, your son and your donor friend!
