After reading a lot of the posts today, I thought it was time I post this. When I was first diagnosed with CKD, a friend gave me this "Attitude" poem. Whenever I was at a low point I would read this. It became my "mantra." I am living healthy and strong 20 years post transplant. If interested, craft shows have this saying on plaques and bookmarks, etc. I have a bookmark that goes in every book I read.
ATTITUDE
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.
Attitude to me is more important than facts.
It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people say, or think, or do. It is more important than giftedness or skill.
It will make or break a company, a church, a home. The remarkable thing is, we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. Charles Swindoll
