this policy was decided last year way before the new administration. I was told about this change last year by my Kidney transplant team. I have to travel 2 hours to my clinic appointments.

Can you elaborate on what your post was about? It did not make sense.

Someone posted about a new policy where Medicare patients will not be offered telemedicine services starting end of March 2025. They blamed it on current admin, but it was approved by last admin. I do not take sides, I just like the real facts and not disinformation. Sorry for any confusion.

If we do not learn from the past we keep making the same mistakes. This can be disastrous with Healthcare and could cost lives. It is evident that some feel it will not affect me. Those of us who have had a transplant know how important the accessibility to treatment and medication can be and how any interruption can be disastrous. For those on Medicare like myself the attack on Medicaid will be the canary in the mine. Waste and fraud is not committed by the recipients but by big business and corrupt providers who overcharge the government. I get a phone call every day from such fraudsters from pitches for brackbraces I do not need to Medicare advantage programs that are centered on profit over people. The life we are living today is not normal. We deserve better.

I was getting the call for months about a 'free knee brace". I tried screaming, i begged them to leave me alone, I hung up, whatever and they kept calling. Sometime 3 times a day. Until I told them I was a double amputee from the thigh down. Stop them cold....BTW I am not a double amputee.

Humorous but sad that some people fall the scam. Thanks for sharing your story.

Medicare coverage for telemed was to expire on Dec 31, 2024. The last congress passed an extention until March 31, 2025. Unless there is another extension (in my opinion unlikely with the current congress), coverage will expire on March 31, 2025.
