Checking back in now that I am about 16 days post donation surgery. I am feeling pretty good and am returning back to work tomorrow. I chose the TAP block and feel that this really helped me in my recovery journey. My go-to remedy for post-op gas pain/bloating/nausea/malaise was hot ginger tea...best remedy all around. Now, I am only taking a few Tylenol daily for incisional discomfort or the occasional caffeine related headache. I am still only eating small meals in order to keep that bloated feeling at bay, which is by far a healthier way to eat. All the minor discomforts aside, I am confident in my decision, and am proud to say that I an altruistic kidney donor !

You are a hero! Congratulations!! I went back to work after 2 weeks also, I have a desk job so it was OK, I had a bit of fatigue so some days that was the hardest part.
Wonderful! ☺
