Two Months Post-Op Symptoms

Hi All,

I donated my kidney almost two months ago and my tiredness is becoming more aggressive. The feeling of needing to shut my eyes during the day after about 12pm, hits hard. I am getting enough sleep at night and just wondering what others' experience was after donation and how long the tiredness/fatigue stuck around with them...

First of all, Congratulations to you for donating!!

I personally didn't experience what you are, however, I have heard others have had this experience. I hope you're listening to your body and are taking that short nap mid-day; bodies don't lie. Remember, you did have major surgery, and the "recovery time" isn't 2 weeks - the normal range is 6-8 weeks, so I wouldn't freak out too much at this time.

Since everyone is different, I would reach out to your nephrologist and request an appointment for a check-in/check-up. Couldn't hurt!
