I recently joined this group. I’ve been on hemo in center for over two and half years. I’m almost 48 and trying to be a care taker for my mother of 82 who is also disabled and has very a very rare psychiatric disorder. All I have left is one older brother who teaches and I used to teach for 17 years. I was diagnosed with a rare form of amyloidosis and see about 15 specialist just to stay alive. I started to write a book about my life because I want to help others while getting help myself.

Stay strong brother! We are all here to support one another.
Hello! I love the teaching profession! I'm crossing my fingers your particular form of amyloidosis doesn't take away the option for a kidney transplant. Wishing you all the best as you take care of your mom. And offering you lots of encouragement as you write your book. May we all find ways to make lemonade out of lemons and, in the process, help out others!
that’s a great idea! Praying for the best for you
