Well add a new one to my collection of issues. I had an appt with my endocrinologist about my bone loss. She ran some bloodwork and checked my alpha and lambda free light chains and they came back very elevated. So now my GP has me referred to hematology and I have more blood work to have done. I feel and look like a pin cushion. Between dialysis and blood work it's a wonder I have any blood at all...lol.
Dr Google says it could be blood cancer but it could be a host of other things that aren't so scary. Since I have an autoimmune disease (Graves) already and have other allergies that's what I'm hoping for. That and it doesn't affect my getting a transplant! I've had enough setbacks. I
I plan on going tomorrow and getting the other tests done. Maybe they will be good and no need to add another doctor.

Dearest Horsie, what a ride. I hope it all comes out good and it is something that is easily fixed. In September, I was stabbed 31 times either with dialysis or IV s or infusions. There was one poke that took three nurses and four tries. Not fun. I worry about drinking water and becoming a sprinkler..... lolol
Oh my goodness...31 times. I might be close to that but wasn't counting. My worry isn't the water but this stupid blood thinner. Today the tech had trouble with one of my needle spots not wanting to stop bleeding. Made a bit of a mess but luckily wasn't much. All the bruising is lovely too.
Well it's another doctor I can add to my list of docs....lol. I still feel good so that's something to be happy about, yes? I'm still walking almost every day...up to 20 minutes. I'm trying to get to 30 by the 15th.
Are you still in hospital? How are you doing? How's the EF, have you heard anything?
Yes still in hospital. Cardiac cat scan showed I had a minor blockage in my heart. It going be treated with medication. I may get to go home today. I hope so I have tickets for a play Sunday I would like to go too. I tried to walk 30 minutes when I can. I’m actually walking halls in hospital no 30 min but heck when I came in here Wednesday no way I could of did that breathing a lot better three days in a row of dialysis help and Wednesday they took more fluid off me than they ever had.
Sheesh! So sorry you're now having to deal with another issue - and while you're holding down a job too. Much respect (and hugs) going your way. Stay strong, Horsie! Crossing my fingers that good news comes your way.
I'm hoping for the best for you. And, thanks for showing us how to keep positive in the face of a lot of new stress.Prayers, positive thoughts, and the best of good wishes that everything turns out well. And, some hugs, too.
