My phosphorus levels are low so now I’m trying to eat high phosphorus foods. I had my husband bring me a coke which is weird as I’ve not had a coke in several years. I have some lentils and peanuts and I read eggs are high.
I can’t do dairy as I’m lactose intolerant. Any other suggestions?

No kidding my nephrologist told me yesterday my phosphorus was low. I’m sure it has to do with having been in the hospital and losing so much weight. I’m sure if I put on the 10-15 pounds I need it’ll stabilize.
My hubby was on both PD and HD. They each have strengths and weaknesses. In my hubby's case, PD didn't remove phosphorus well, but it did clean potassium well, whereas HD removed phosphorus well, but didn't clean out potassium well. So my hubby had to use binders for phosphorus when he was on PD, he used binders for potassium when he was on HD. His nurse used a nifty screen with different sized balls representing toxins. Depending on type of dialysis, some balls dropped through the screen, others didn't, etc. Cool little hands-on demonstration.
Here’s a list of high phosphorus foods. Quite a few cold cereals are high phosphorous too. You could eat them with nondairy milk substitutes (almond milk) or dry as a crunchy snack. Meats are at the top of the list for high phosphorous foods. Eating meat also builds muscle mass which will increase weight.
I had this discussion with my Neph last month. Phosphorus vs Protein. They say for PD "Eat more protein, eat more protein, eat more protein. Then they turn around and say "stop eating phosphorus, stop eating phosphorus, stop eating phosphorus. Its an oxymoron. So I'm up to taking three binders each meal to absorb the phosphorus that the high protein diet brings with it. It's like telling someone they need to lose weight, then telling them, oh, you need to eat more!
Right after I had my transplant, my phosphorus was low. The transplant team told me to drink a Coke every day, preferably diet. Processed lunchmeat like baloney also has phosphorus as well as brown rice.
Dang, what a switch from PD. Didn't know hemo took out that much phosphorus. I'm eating like 3 phosphorus binders per meal to remove what the high protein diet puts in. I don't like taking meds for things, but I just couldn't stomach the low phosphorus Liquacel stuff.
My Clinic supplies my Liquacel...I just take whatever flavors they have on hand...I noticed a couple of them were "Un-flavored"... I drank it and it tastes a little "sweet" but definetly a more subdued taste ..maybe that would work better for you
