Got my results back today it was positive. May need a colonoscopy,my question is how can I have one since I would have to drink that stuff (have done before I,had kidneys then) having no kidneys to process the liquid.I am limited to 32oz a day.I am scared.......

I am on dialysis with no kidneys. I have had multiple colonoscopies. The fluid is not absorbed but goes right through and out of the gut. I had one a few weeks ago while in hospital. Ask your nephrologist for clarification. The fluid when mixed correctly is meant to clean out the intestines by flushing it with fluid which is not absorbed by the body. Blessings

Can't really advise you. This is something you need to discuss with nephrologist and GI docs. There are a lot of new things they use now to "clean you out" for the test. I know you have to watch the magnesium. I have a colonoscopy coming up later this month. Dr. uses something that works quickly and is gentle on the kidneys
