Hi everyone, I have a question in regards to a situation that took place a year ago at my placement regarding a patient that was accidentally given an old acid bath prescription the day she received a new prescription. Now the new acid jug does not follow the new prescription, the dialysis tech had disconnected the patient from the machine and continued with the new prescription. Though I'm only a student, I felt that there was a better way to handle situation, should have the technician waited a bit until the old prescription had dissipated from the patient's body, should he have continued with the old prescription, or was his response the correct response to the situation? Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
