PTH Intact - Hemodialysis

I have been on in clinic hemodialysis for 3 years. My PTH Intact started out running around 400 and then for a year around 600. Lately it has gone crazy to around 1200. Has anyone else had these kind of fluctuations? Has anyone had PTH as high as 1200?

Mine elevated to the 900's. My Dr put me on Cincalcet. I take it every other day and now Im in the 200's. Ask your Dr

What is the dosage you take each time?

I believe my dosage is 30 ngs. It is the lowest dosage available here in the US. Other Countries may have different dosages available. I take it with evening meal. Do Not take on empty stomach. Trust me you will do it only once.

Yikes! That is way way too high! Your PTH can be medically managed with different drugs, which your nephrologist should be doing. Do you have monthly bloodwork drawn and monthly visits with your nephrologist? This should be reported to him.

I also take Cincalcet - 3 times a week and my PTH is currently 91
