Blood Glucose Control on PD

With first pd session blood glucose increased by over 150 points. Does anyone have insulin management tips ? On pump so will adjust but concerned about hyperglycemia each night Ty !

Have you talked with your dialysis team and/or nephrologist about this? Also, do you see an endocrinologist?

Ty J, yes. Pumping insulin so increased basal rate and mid cycle check and insulin as needed is the plan

I'm a type II diabetic who isn't on medication. I've been able to control my glucose without medication. But I'm anticipating I may have problems with my A1C once I start PD dialysis. My nephrologist doesn't seem to be concerned about this; however, he may be thinking he will just need to start me on insulin at that point as well.

Anyway, I appreciate your post. Please let us know how this is going for you and what is done. to resolve this issue.
