New to dialysis

Hi, I'm new here too. Glad there's a place that I can talk to folks going through the same thing. I'm going tomorrow to have cathodor put in my neck, (due to my small veins). My fistula didn't work in my arms. How dangerous is it in my neck, ill be on dialysis until I get a kidney.

Welcome to the group. While having a chest catheter it is not a long-term situation. A chest catheter is supposed to be temporary. But they have where you can have a fistula in your groin area. Might be something to think about if you can't get a fistula in your arm.

Hi I have the same problem my veins keep clotting. I have had several grafts in each arm all which clotted. They put a catheter in my groin(Not pleasent) and placed a Hero graft in. The hero graft goes from an artery in my arm right into my heart. This has been working great
