Welcome. Glad to hear about your decision to select PD. Why did you go with that as opposed to HHD? I'm in the process looking at all the information I can find on both PD and Home Hemo-Dialysis and while I have issues with both, each has its positives and negatives. I'm curious about the reasons you had for going down the PD path. If you'd like to share, we're listening.

Hi Mr. Kidney I decided to do PD because of the people I met in the clinic. After talking to them and doing the PD home training for myself I liked it best as opposed to the other options

Hi Adrienne do you do the overnight dialysis? I am just waiting to see the consultant to have the catheter fitted and have opted for the night time PD in readiness to start in the new year.

Be interested to learn of your experiences as all very new and somewhat scary to me.

Hope your still getting on ok. How long does it take? I have problems sleeping at present as I have to get up every hour to urinate I don't go at all during the day. Do you think this will change with PD? Linda x

I've been reading a number of personal stories and those that use the nocturnal PD have complained about a lack of sleep because of the number of alarms that go off. Others have said that it has changed their life outlook. Glad to hear that it is working well for you.
