Foot Problems

My son has been on hemo dialysis for 4 years. He's having problems with a lot of pain in his feet when he walks. Anyone else have this problem?

I have this as well but not sure if they are related as I am 62 and spent 40 years working on my feet

Does he have neuropathy? That comes with diabetes.

He's not diabetic. They think its toxins accumulated in his feet from the dialysis. His doctor wants to put him on Lyrica. He has a hard time walking.

How old is he? Does he wear socks at night? It is from the dialysis. Is he anemic?

Hi thanks for responding to my question about my son's foot problem. They don't know why he is in so much pain in his feet. It's when he stands and walks. He says it worse after dialysis. He's not diabetic. The doctor is sending him to a neurologist. He on prescription pain killers. His doctor doesn't know what this is happening.

I had pain in four of my toes and it was due to blood clots in my foot and it quickly killed off 4 of my toes and I had to have them amputated

Hi. Im jamiw. Yes i have terrible leg and feet pain. I found that they take too much fluid out at dialysis and sipping water or ice chips helps a little.
