Has anyone had any success controlling Proteinuria by using a calcium supplement such as Citracal?

Curious/puzzled: is there a mechanism by which that is said to help?
Some damage/scarring of nephrons can see proteinuria.. calcium won't help that.
I guess there are other causes?
If deposition of calcium oxalate crystals is part of cause, I could see roles for:
- reduced dietary intake of oxalates (almonds and spinach are very high sources)
- increased intake of vitamin k2
Hi, if you have high BP and are on BP medication, then try using Clinidipine for BP control. It helps control proteinuria as well.
I take calcitriol, similar product. I take it for my calcium to help control my phosphorous. I am not aware of it helping at all with Proteinuria
I have very high proteinuria, and no one has suggested I take this. The one thing that has is Jardiance.
