What are the figures for eGFR for the different stages?
What are the figures for Urea and Creatinine levels?
Why don't tests give the Stage one is at when giving the results?
Is there a standard?
Can you force a GP into getting you tested?
Thanks.

Here is a link to information on the stages of eGFR from National Kidney Foundation. kidney.org/atoz/content/gfr

Check this out. It should answer your question.
If your doctor does not want to test you then time to find a new doctor .
It would depend on why you're asking as no GP will order a test without a reason. As patients we have rights but you should just talk to your GP. Do you think you have kidney issues or have you had a lot of UTI's as this does seem a question that your GP would act on but not because you want one. Lots of resources on line about kidney disease but honestly if your GP has no concerns then you must discuss with him/her why you're concerned. But don't look for problems based on Google but to the advice of your GP.
Thank you - I have an appointment next week. I should be getting a blood test every three months but have not had one for several months. As patients we have not been encouraged to go to our surgeries "because of Covid". I'm 79 and should be having follow-ups on a regular basis.
btw - I do not rely on Google or the internet at all as I know the dangers of wrong knowledge.
I'll get it sorted next week.
Blood tests here in Kent have been done all through Covid in GP's car park ( covered but outdoors) then in the surgery so its very odd you haven't had one on a regular basis if needed. I thought in the UK it was the same all over if needed they were done. I've definitely had no problems from Thyroid to CKD tests all are up to date every three monthsPS I've seen the RA consultant and Nephrologist for past 18 months with no problem where are you ?
In the UK is there an outside lab who could do the tests for you? I'm in the US and unfamiliar with the NHS. I've lucked out as my primary doc will run any test I want with the exception of cholesterol which my insurance will only pay for once a year. My nephrologist has me do a bunch of kidney based tests every 3 months. Recently we did a 24 hour urine test and found my eGFR is now 17. I've been following a low protein plant based diet but the damage to my kidneys has been done so the best I can hope for right now is keeping it stable.
