Creatinine

I am 74 years of age and no health issues except that my creatinine is around 1.75 since last four years.

All other kidney function parameters are normal. No diabetes, B.P. is normal, no problem with thyroid or with lipid profile etc.

Sonography reports are normal.

I had met nephrologist few years back and he had told me that this is age related and nothing to worry. Keep monitoring

Can anyone throw some light and comments

Sounds like your nephrologist has given you good care and advice.

Yes, as we age our creatinine does increase. Not sure what your creatinine should be at age 74. I would rely on the advice of your nephrologist.

1) Eat a healthy diet.

2) Exercise

3) Stay properly hydrated.

4) Don't go crazy with protein, especially meat protein.

5) Moderate alcohol consumption.

6) Try not to stress.

7) Rinse, lather, repeat.

As long as your eGFR and other tests are normal I'd listen to your Neph and not worry about it.

Good luck.
