HI MumsmedsI have just started dialysis at 6%. They discovered my haemoglobin levels were really low and mentioned I might need a blood transfusion. They have decided to just keep giving me iron infusions and foliate. I am not sure about your mums gfr increasing after an infusion. However i am sure she will start feeling better just in general. I had a few issues with my iron infusions. I ft exhausted after them. However now I am starting to feel a bit better. My stamina has definitely increased. I hope your mum gets the right treatment and is able to have her operation x

I'm sure good blood will help. That is the problem with ckd...the filter doesn't work right and eventually our blood goes bad.
