It seems my older post got deleted. I asked if anyone has some natural remedies you like to take that help with fatigue and energy? Lately I've been getting up in the morning and it's very hard to to wake up and I'm lethargic most of the day, got some brain fog too. Any advice would be appreciated. I just want to be able to function with a little energy. Caffiene doesn't cut it.

Fatigue and lethargy
Hi Ksoccer, I don't know of anything natural that would help with this. I've found that many meds, along with medical conditions, will make us tired and lethargic. Good luck in finding something to help.
Hi Ksoccer45, I was wiped out a couple of years ago and decided to go vegan for 6 months. My energy doubled and stayed up even when I slowly introduced animal products again. It felt like a reset. Nothing scientifically, but I was very happy it helped me regain of my energy back.
HI,Energy is subjective. When you say you are fatigued, is it just a general malaise or are you physically unable to do stuff. Some of fatigue is mental. And some of it is not accepting our capabilities right now. What I could do when I was younger is nowhere near what I can do now. Is my energy low? NO, I am just older. See what I am saying?
If you really feel wiped out, time to see the doctor. Have him check your Vitamin D, Vitamin B 12, hemocrit and hemoglobin. All those can impact your stamina.
For a boost, try drinking more water, unless you have a limitation. Also, watch you sugar intake. It will give you a quick boost and then crash you way low. More fruit and veggies are always good. But you would do best to see a renal dietician to see what you can eat according to your medical needs.
And this may seem counterintuitive, but exercise. When you can, go for a walk. Push through the tiredness. You will find that adding more movement gets the body functioning better. It may take some time but keep adding a little more each day. Get a step counter to help with it and make it a challenge. Ask your doctor to recommend a program and clear you for exercise. It is amazing how much better you will feel. Even a little more movement helps.
I think that diet is always a good place to start, has anything changed? It's amazing what can cause fatigue.... too much sugar, too much caffine, too much protein, not enough protein, stress, a series of good things, not enough sleep, too much sleep, and the list goes on. Talk to your doctor about it and see what they have to say.
Hi, how is your overall sleep quality? Could you possibly have sleep apnea?
