Transplant Waitlist Survey

If you are currently registered on the national kidney transplant waitlist OR have received at least one kidney transplant from a deceased donor in the past we invite you to take this survey! utexas.qualtrics.com/jfe/fo...

The purpose of this survey is to determine what information would affect potential recipients' decision to either accept or decline kidney offers. The researchers believe that this knowledge could help transplant programs better account for recipients’ preferences when recommending whether to perform a transplant or not.

This project is a partnership involving the National Kidney Foundation (NKF), the University of Texas at Austin, and the University of Minnesota.

Survey responses are anonymous. Upon completion of the survey, if you wish to share your name and email address, you will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of two $100 gift cards.

Hello! My 18 year old son is listed. We got him on the list at our local hospital (and transplant surgery site) at 17. I don’t think it’s national. How do we find out if he is and if not should he not take the survey? We got an email about this from NKF too.

Can you please explain more about the National Kidney Registry? I live in Northern CA and there are no transplant centers here taking part in the Registry. Can I still register or put my name on the list? Too bad there is not a better national registry that would help us find donors. BB

Yes you can still register and be part of the Patient Network! It is the first nationwide registry for people at all stages and types of kidney disease and aims to transform kidney care and research. You can learn more and sign up here; kidney.org/nkfpatientnetwork

Please let me know if you have any further questions!

For help finding a living donor I would suggest these resources: kidney.org/transplantation/...
