Having a bit of a trying time.

Hello - the last few days have been not so good - no energy or motivation and this morning I had my breakfast and felt so sick afterwards I had to go back to bed. It has been slowly going downhill for a few days now.My biggest worry is that this all points to kidney function and the dialysis question has reared its ugly head a bit sooner than expected. I was hoping for a bit more time to be 'normal' Also I find myself going back to all the things that could have prevented the low gfr - the blood test that was due in September 21 and had to be cancelled because there was a shortage of blood bottles - they didn't recall me until the end of November 21 and then only contacted me in January 22 to get more urgent tests done and that's when the low gfr was discovered. My gfr at my diabetes review in August 21 was 30 but nothing was said. I have had so many tears over this because it could have been prevented but what with covid and trying to get appointments it was almost impossible. Its like being cursed. It all came in a big rush then - off metformin and on to insulin injections in January 22 when it all went pear shaped. I am sorry for sounding like this because you are all so supportive but I blame covid and all the pressures it put on the NHS and I slipped out of the system. At least I have my blood sugars under control and also my BP readings are much better. I think because the retirement plans I had have gone now and I am stuck in this loop of disability. Thank you all so much for reading and providing much needed guidance where needed.
