Transplant compatability.

My partner has been examined as a possible donor... she got her results today blood type A tissue type 010, I am blood type O-, would that totally preclude her for being a donor to me?

You should ask the transplant bank, or your Nephrologist. The tissue type is more important than the blood or RH factor. There is another community for organ donation on the right of this page under topics. Best of luck, I hope things work out for you.

You can check also if you're transplant center has in place a crossover program Basically even your partner is not matching you they look for another living donor couple which are cross matching exchanging organ.
