Left Side Face Pain and Dialysis??

Without much warning, back in May I felt like I couldn't breathe and was dying. I went to the ER, and spent a week in the hospital where I started on dialysis. It has been an unpleasant experience on many days, mostly due to odd side effects. The worst of which is a pain in the left side of my face, kind of like a headache, that tends to settle around my left eye. I read a medical research paper about ocular pressure from Hemodialysis and that it can cause Glaucoma and blindness. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge with this?

Hi MP11. Sorry I don't have experience with this but I'm curious what your doctor has said? Sometimes dialysis comes with unexpected side effects that are less common. When I was on peritoneal dialysis my saliva was sweet for a period, and no one has ever been able to explain that, or heard of that. Curious what your health providers are saying.

Lots of people are suffering from kidney failure problem, so they are doing dialysis in their life to maintaining their body healthy way. After doing dialysis people are facing some side effects such as

1. Sexual side effects

2. Mental illness

3. Infection

4. Itchy and/or dry skin

5. Blood blots

6. Muscle cramps

7. Low blood pressure

8. Bloating and weight gain

9. Feeling too full in their stomach

10. Hernia.

So you have also facing mild side effects, it is better to seek your health care expert or doctor helps to avoid this problem.
