I'm looking for a breakfast smoothie recipe that will keep me going to lunch. Something that is low potassium, phosphorous and sodium? My normal go to is banana and oats but looking for something with spinach and banana replacement?

Looking for forward to the replies you get, because I understood that porridge oats is a no-no for CKD. Really miss my morning porridge!!

I don't really know, I'm sure someone on this site will be able to enlighten us, it's just that when reading up about CKD diet, it says only have a small portion of oats once a week - I have a virtual appt. with renal dietician in a couple of weeks and hope to find out more - will keep you posted.

Hi, barneyfrances. I wasn't aware that oatmeal was bad for CKD, so I did some Googling and found this: blogs.davita.com/kidney-die... and blogs.davita.com/kidney-die....

These are both Davita blogs. So it appears to me that like with everything else, oatmeal (the kind you cook, not the instant oatmeal with higher sodium) is fine in moderation.
