Change in cortical medullary differentiation??

Hello everyone,

So basically my left kidney failed a good few years ago, the right one has been great since, but on Monday I had a ultrasound, blood test and urine sample taken (normal 12 month check up)

I've received another letter for another ultrasound kidney scan in 3 weeks. I have to wait till tomorrow as my gp is closed to see if they had the blood results sent over to them.

On the scan the doctor said there's a change in cortical medullary differentiation. I have no idea what that means. And by the sound of it I think something has shown up on the blood test hence another scan so close??

I don't know.

Anyone been through something similar?

I'd suggest for now that you download to your computer or smartphone a good medical dictionary. I keep one on my phone and use it all the time to translate doctorspeak into English. It won't be perfect but until you can get answers from your physician it will give you something. Best of luck.
