YOUR THOUGHTS PLEASE!!!!
Sending positive thoughts and prayers in your direction. Maybe also a biopsy. The standard medical treatment is medication for high blood pressure and a renal diet- see a renal dietitian , lots of water and cutting down on protein, it seems the more vegan the better , but everybody is different.
Appreciate you thoughts and info! I had thought if diet. I am also Diabetic Type 2. Taking meds for that including high blood pressure med . Think I will have all meds reviewed and maybe modified, change my diet, and exercise. No one knows why the GFR dropped so fast.
Don’t seem to have symptoms that would required a biopsy yet! 🤞
Be sure and have them review your meds. Some BP meds as well as diabetes meds definitely decrease renal function; although, I have no idea if they can lead to this sort of rapid decline.
Definitely thinking good thoughts for you. Please let us know how everything goes.

HI Carbuff,
Please let us know how your ultrasound comes out. Hopefully you can find a reason and then turn things around. You can sometimes bring a GFR up. Did you have pain? Think you passed a stone? We are here for you?
I'm now 80 with just one kidney. I am on a low protein vegetarian diet as prescribed by the author of "Plant Fed Kidneys," and as promoted by DadviceTV.com. Both claim the vegetarian diet does reverse GFR's in most, but not every case. I take an Amino Acid supplement because of the lower protein intake. Worth your consideration.
