Curious about labs from past

Last night I dug more into my all my labs and I noticed besides my gfr being low the creatine was high but my am phos was always low this has been since 2014. I don’t really understand much about alk phos does that have anything to do with kidneys

Hi Lexilou,

Phosphate, phosphorous is a mineral that helps keep bones strong.Too much of it can cause weak bones and calcium deposits where you don't want them. It is common in later stages of CKD to have higher Phosphorous because the non-working kidney can not get rid of it properly and so it builds up. Here is an article on it:
