Your labs, especially the GFR is just a snapshot of where you are. My suggestion is to set up a spreadsheet for your lab values. Across the top list the date a and physician who ordered them. Down the left side list all of the lab tests taken. If any of my tests are in the normal range I leave them alone. If the value is high, I highlight it in red. If the value is low, I highlight it with a different color.

This helps me spot any trends developing with an issue I need to speak to my doctors about. Don't worry too much about 1 test. It's over a period of time that should concern you and it is what your doctors are looking at.

There are many different things that can come up that will affect your labs. Being sick, being dehydrated, overextending an exercise activity, etc. In your case, it appears to be the cleanse. Look at your average over time.

For example: in the two years I've had CKD, my lowest GFR was 32 and my highest was 65. Over that same period, my GFR has averaged 48.

Good luck.

Hi, I think you've done well and maybe it is another thing to do with your kidneys like creatinine. I'm new to researching kidney disease so I don't know if it is the higher or lower number which is better for eGfr...mine is 60 and I have CKD stage 2 which I think is mild. I think the idea of keeping a record and making a graph to see your results over time plus a food and exercise journal iss good, not forgetting ho much you drink. My kidney function improved with more exercise, drank more water, and 6 weeks on the keto diet but i ended up in hospital having fluids and had low blood sugar, still lost 10kg, it is back now. Im not sure short term diets are good for the kidneys. Perhaps your cleanse was, i would be interested what it involved. Hopefully all is good in some of your result if dr says ok. All the best

Egfr fluctuates. A measure approach with diet, etc will give a more consistent number.
