I still have hope for my son

Hello, my name is Omar. My son was diagnosed with CKD stage 4 one week after his 17 birthday.... it's been really hard on him because he said that, that is him birthday present... I never thought that this would happen to my son. But we are doing everything that we can to help him ....

I am sorry to hear of your son's situation. You did not say what was the cause but I hope you and your whole family will become educated on CKD and the things he can do to help the kidney function. Are you in the States?

I hope he is seeing a good nephrologist. You might want to see a renal dietician as well. I would also see about getting the process of transplant started for him.

So sorry to hear. It’s hard at any age , but especially when you’re dealing with someone so young. Never give up hope. Always keep fighting. Learn all you can. Prayers for your family. God can do anything 😀

In the year 2019 CKD is not a death sentence. Just like most cancer has treatment nowadays CDK also has treatment. All you and your son needs to believe on is that Modern Medical Science can do wonders only IF you guys believe it can.
