Good morning. I tore ligaments and tendons of the knee cap over a week ago. The pain is severe. I am using Arnuca an OTC cream and. Rx form of lidocaine cream but the pain is still bad. I have CKD 3B and diabetes and the pain is spiking my blood sugar. Im supposed to be traveling on Friday to PA and live in FL. Please some good suggestions and experiences. Thank you so much!

Snoochy, I sure hope you saw a doctor and they did something to immobilize your leg like a brace. I know how painful what your going through is because I caught my meniscus and every time I moved it tore a little. I had to have surgery to correct the issue. If you did not see a doctor, you should before you go and see if there is any other medication you can take to help with the pain. DO NOT take over the counter pain relief without your doctor's advice, especially NSAIDs.

Thank you. The dr did give me a brace and a lidocaine rub and also using Arnicare rub and horse lineament! I do not take NSAID as the use of Naprosun for a year (prescribed by a dr) after I fell through a bridge. It is the main cause of the CKD. Thank you for your response. Hope this finds you well. I have been on this site for over a year and have been encouraged by the bravery of people. First time I’ve posted. Again thanks!

U need a good support bandage which helps to stop so much movement and also i would try some natural therapies ie glucosamine or tuneric both for ligaments and inflamation

Yes I saw a dr. Took and exhausted and inflammation is around the front and side of the knee cap. She gave me a brace and said to ice it and keep it still I have 6 days before I leave for PA on a short weekend trip. I’m really babying it. I’ll try the glucosamine and turmeric. Thanks for your post.
